YCC/Casa Tuition

*DVMS is enrolled in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care program. The City of Hamilton has changed the funding structure for 2026, and so we have not had final amounts confirmed. We know the total amount for the 2026/27 school year will be around $5,200.

*YCC—Young Children’s Community. Aged 18 months to 3 years. Casa—Aged 3 to 6 years.

Elementary Tuition

Elementary tuition is paid in 4 equal installments of $4,812.50, for a total of $19,250. March 1st, September 1st, November 1st, 2026 and January 1st, 2027.

Elementary Families receive a discount on tuition by pre-paying in full by March 1, 2025. $18,750 for the 2026/2027 school year.

Families with more than one student in our Elementary program receive a discount of 10% for any additional Elementary children.

Commitment Fee

At DVMS and Strata, we are deeply committed to providing your children with a high-fidelity Montessori education—from their first child-parent classes through Grade 9. We seek families who share this vision for evidence-based development and pedagogical excellence.

To sustain this standard of excellence, and to ensure the sustainability of our school, we ask each family for a one-time charitable donation upon enrollment of $5,000 per child to our sister school, Strata Montessori Adolescent School.  As Strata Montessori is a registered Canadian charity, all contributions are 100% tax-deductible.

While tuition covers the foundational operational costs of the school, it does not fully fund the excellence, premium staffing, facilities, and bursaries that are essential to the DVMS and Strata experience.

If a family has a combined annual income of less than $100,000, this donation can be reduced to $2,500. If a family has a combined annual income of less than $60,000, this donation can be waived. 

General Tuition Information

Tuition payment method options are credit card or electronic funds transfer (EFT) through TUIO. If you want to pay by cheque please contact us at accounts@dvms.ca to make arrangements.

All Casa and YCC tuitions are 100% tax deductible. Elementary tuitions are 21% tax deductible.

There is no refund or reduction in tuition or fees in case of withdrawal, dismissal, absence, cancellation or non-attendance.

Hot Lunch Program

The Ministry of Education requires participation in the hot lunch program for all children in the Young Children’s Community and the Casa program. For the 26/27 school year, our hot lunch program is part of the CWELCC funding and requires no additional payment from families.

Extended Care Program

Casa and Elementary:

We offer beforecare from 8:00 - 8:30 am and aftercare from 4:00 - 5:00 pm. Our Extended Care programs are enrolled by term at the beginning of each term, with limited spaces available each term. You are welcome, at any time, to email the office to see if there is space in our Extended Care program at admin@dvms.ca. Extended Care is billed by term and costs $7.50 per day for Before Care and $15 per day for After Care for Elementary Students.

Before School Care for YCC runs from 8-8:30am and After School Care runs from 3:30 - 4pm. Both programs take place in the YCC. Space for YCC extended care is extremely limited and should be used only if necessary. Extended Care is billed by term and costs $10 per day for Before School Care and $10 per day for After School Care for Elementary Students.

Educational Excursion

All field trips, expeditions, camping trips, elementary, specialty activities, and daily snack costs are included in the tuition amount. There is an additional fee for the annual sixth-year Upper Elementary educational excursion (Montessori Model United Nations or similar programs).
