March Break Reminders
Montessori Toddlers: 2 Evenings with Simone Davies
When: Wednesday, March 27, 2019 - 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. - $25.00 per personWhere: Clanmore Montessori School, 2463 Lakeshore Road East, Oakville, ON L6J 1M7 (North side of Lakeshore Rd. East in Oakville, between Ford Drive & Winston Churchill Blvd.)What: PART 1 - 10 WAYS TO ENRICH YOUR MONTESSORI TODDLER PRACTICES Let us dive into the things that actually happen in our toddler communities and discuss how to manage them.We will explore 10 things that come up often, like what concentration looks like for a toddler, when to step in to correct a child and when to allow them to continue exploration, and how to be kind and clear in setting limits. PART 2 - PARENTS: HOW TO ENGAGE BUSY PARENTS AND STRENGTHEN YOUR COMMUNITY When parents are pulled in so many directions, we can help them learn about Montessori to support their child’s growth and apply it at home, as well as our work in the classroom. Simone will explore ways to reach any parent, from parent workshops to using newsletters and social media as an opportunity for parent education and engagement. Our goal is to help raise curious and responsible human beings. In addition, we’ll look at ways we can make this fit into our already busy weeks. For more information click here: http://www.ccma.ca/files/Montessori_Toddlers_Simone_Davies_Mar.2019_v3.pdf
Parent Teacher Interviews: Childcare
During interviews childcare will be available from 4:00-8:00pm. 4-7pm will be in the gym. From 7:00-8:00pm childcare will be in the Library/Lunchroom. This is because the gym is rented out to our friends from Tai Chi.
Lost and Found:
As we do at the end of every term, we will be donating any unlabeled lost and found items to charity at the end of this week. Please take a few minutes to look for long lost items -- we've got lots of lonely, single gloves and mittens, a nice collection of water bottles, and a pile o' snow pants, as well as the regular jackets and sweaters.
Online Immunization Reporting:
When you enroll at DVMS you are required to submit your child’s immunization records, which we are then required to submit to Hamilton Public Health every September.
When your child has additional immunizations, Hamilton public Health requires you to submit the updated information directly to them. Online immunization reporting is now available through Hamilton Public Health and is designed as an alternative to keeping track of the hard copy immunization record (that yellow thing that you remember putting somewhere once so that you wouldn't lose it).
How to Report Immunization Records
Immunization reporting is now available online.
